Lumos City, circa 2150 (originally established 2040) is Earth's first 100% self sufficient village-city built for a post-money world, dedicated to science, innovation, and creativity

“Two children from 2024 are catapulted into the advanced, abundant world of 2150, where AI and humans coexist in harmony. As they seek a way home and race to prevent a looming global catastrophe, they unravel the mystery of their family’s legacy—a legacy of love that transcends time and shapes the future.”

The Montague Odyssey graphic novel sci-fi trilogy for kids is a thrilling futuristic adventure, but it is also visionary, for within the story-scape lies a roadmap and a destination.

Throughout Luna and Orion Montague's journey, they witness a visionary future where AI and humans co-govern city-states in a peaceful global alliance. They explore Lumos City—a self-sufficient micro-city inspired by Star Trek—while experiencing a society built on Humanist and Buddhist principles in a 'post-money' economy. Most importantly, the story's historical backstory reveals a roadmap for transitioning from today’s world to this smarter, kinder, and brighter future.

"Often times  it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by future doomsday scenarios such as ‘The Terminator’ and ‘Blade Runner’, but what if that’s not our future?

What there is a positive future, where robots and people work together in harmony, to create a better and safer world for generations to come?

Jared Franks picture book tells a captivating story of two young children who are transported into the future, finding themselves in a world where humans, robots and nature are united and harmonious.

The picture book is designed to be fast paced, with smaller chapters that are packed with action. This allows younger audiences to engage and retain their attention, teaching them valuable lessons of courage and creativity whilst making them optimistic about the times to come.

There is no doubt that 'The Montague Odyssey: Lost In Tomorrow' is an incredible story that the sci-fi genre has been longing for, and I highly recommend it to all."

"My children and I love reading the The Montague Odyssey: lost in tomorrow book. In a world full of fear and polarising views, I am so inspired by the optimistic and heart centred perspectives through which the author has created his vision  of the future. My children are full of questions about this future world of Lumos [City] presented here and we eagerly look forward to reading subsequent additions to the series."

A word from the author

Our children deserve a vision of a future that is full of possibilities, bursting with oppurtunities, and defined by abundance. A world where people truly thrive, where hope, liberty, and creativity shape their paths forward. We will soon have the means to create that vision—a vision children can not only dream about, but in the fullness of time, have a hand in building it themselves.
